South City Revival
South City Revival
In 2016, musicians Joe Pacelli (vocals, guitar), John Quinn (guitar), Mike Fitzgerald (bass), Jose Perez (drums), and Brendan Linnane (pedal steel) met in the parking lot of a Western Avenue bar and decided they wanted to write songs like Townes Van Zandt and play shows like Bruce Springsteen. They asked each other “what does Chicago country sound like?”—a question that has shaped the sound and aesthetic of South City Revival since its formation.

The following year, SCR teamed up with Chicago studio guru Mike Hagler (Wilco, My Morning Jacket, Waco Brothers) to record their self-titled, debut EP at his Humboldt Park Studio. Combining elements of country, rock, and rhythm & blues, the release features a captivating blend of story driven songwriting and high energy studio performances.
The Bashful Youngens
The Bashful Youngens
The Bashful Youngens are an Americana duo out of Champaign, Illinois featuring Carrie Chandler-Harrison (mandolin, guitar, vocals) and Aaron Short (harmonica, guitar, vocals). Carrie and Aaron met and became friends while in college after growing up in neighboring towns. They quickly learned they shared a similar love of music and immediately began playing covers together just for fun at open mics. They soon realized they wanted to concentrate more on writing their own songs and released their debut album in February 2016. Their style blends traditional folk, alternative country, and roots while incorporating their own unique musicality for an eclectic mix. Their love of writing music together is clearly seen and heard in their live performances and studio recordings. Each shines on their own, and together their voices blend in seemingly effortless harmonies. Their genuine, charming style, well-crafted songs, powerful rhythms and harmonies provide a sound that reaches a broad base of fans.
