Atlantis Quartet
Atlantis Quartet
Formed in 2006, Atlantis Quartet is at the forefront of the twin cities modern jazz scene, having toured the Midwest and East Coast while releasing four albums to critical acclaim, with a fifth due out in November 2018. JazzTimes' Bill Milkowski calls the band "startlingly original" and both the City Pages and Star Tribune have named them Best Twin Cities Jazz Artist (2011, 2012). In 2015, the group was awarded the McKnight Fellowship for Performing Musicians. Featuring four of Minnesota's most exciting improvisors and composers, saxophonist Brandon Wozniak, guitarist Zacc Harris, bassist Chris Bates, and drummer Pete Hennig, Atlantis Quartet is a band whose music "defies labels" (MPR).
Laurenzi / Cunningham
Laurenzi / Cunningham
Chicago saxophonist Dustin Laurenzi has developed a distinctly personal approach to improvisation and composition that has garnered the attention of the city's creative music community. Known for his "offbeat approach to articulating harmonies and constructing melodies" (NextBop), Dustin's music is inspired and informed by jazz, folk, improvised music, and contemporary classical music. His wide range of influences has made him a sought-after musician in many circles of Chicago's rich music scene.

Dustin has been a leader/co-leader of his own projects, TWIN TALK, Snaarj, and Natural Language, and a member of the Marquis Hill Blacktet, the Quentin Coaxum Quintet, and Katie Ernst's Little Words, among others. He has released several albums featuring his original compositions, including TWIN TALK's debut 'Sightline', which All About Jazz praised as “bold in its youthful energy, sophisticated in its thematic unity…fresh, enjoyable and exciting.” Over the last three years, Dustin has ventured into the world of electronic music, and has released free mixtapes of experimental yet soulful sample-based music.

Dustin earned a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Studies and a Performer's Certificate from Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music in 2011. He has performed and/or recorded with Jeff Parker, Matt Ulery, Russ Johnson, Jeff Hirshfield, Corey Christiansen, Lil BUB's Big Show, the Dave Lisik Jazz Orchestra featuring Tim Hagans, and has recently been featured at the Chicago Jazz Festival, the Xerox Rochester International Jazz Festival, and the Kennedy Center.
