Firago may be best known for their viral Youtube parody "Jay Cutler, I'm Giving Up on You", and while they relish the exposure the song and video received on WGN, ABC, KISSFM and others, you'd have the wrong idea if you judged this book by its cover. Firago is a dance-rock band with a heavy dose of funk: a vehicle powered by a bitchin' rhythm section backing impressive guitar and keys chops in service of melodic vocals and catchy harmonies.

As lifetime music enthusiasts, their influences span from classic rock and blues to new wave and punk-funk of their parent’s vinyl collections, through hip hop, indie rock, and dance music that has dominated the millennial generation. As such, Firago’s sound is an amalgamation of the above: dance beats & disco basslines, big synth hooks, monster guitar solos and catchy harmonies. Think: David Bowie meets the Chili Peppers meets Arctic Monkeys. As with any good four-piece rock band, they are best experienced live, where their tight arrangements meet strong dynamics and exciting improvisation.
