Epic Snake
Epic Snake
Epic Snake was formed at McNally Smith College of Music in the fall of 2009 and in the years following made a name for themselves in the rock/jam music scene of the Twin Cities, MN. Featuring Nathaniel Lutes (guitar), Ken Stebliy (guitar), Stuart Capistran (drums), and Adam Couch (bass) the quartet brings forth a progressive blend of hard rock, fusion, funk and metal that is purely instrumental, and heavily improvisational. Their mixed-meter grooves, harmonizing guitars, funky bass lines, soaring melodies, and exploratory improvisations are just the kind of sounds you want to hear while slaying dragons, battling robots with lasers, getting your face melted, or just plain 'ol rocking out. After going on hiatus in the spring of 2012, the band has reunited for a handful of one-off performances in 2017.
Bronson Rock
Bronson Rock
Bronson Rock plays originals and cool covers from long ago. Fronted by Buzz Gordo, (Big Bad Johns, Gone Native), the band plays a bunch of Gordo originals as well as a host of cool, danceable covers of obscure soul, rockabilly and garage rock classics.
KamiKazee Vigilante
KamiKazee Vigilante
Chicago-based, but drawing inspiration and influence from varying backgrounds, KamiKazee Vigilante (or KKV for short) is able to write music that is as accessible as it is complex and as groove-oriented as it is rhythmically unexpected. The band's name acts as a motto or creed when collaborating and writing, giving their songs the tension of barely controlled chaos. Well formed counter-rhythms and tasteful syncopation are a consistency throughout each composition while melodies and solos layer an aesthetic that ranges from delicate to unrestrained.
